Surviving the night
A good night is prepared around the fire during the day.
Keep the fire alive
Keep wood in your inventory before evening. The campfire gives light, cooks meat and marks the safe way home.

How long does a day last?
One complete cycle, from dawn to the next dawn, always lasts 8 real minutes. The daytime phase ends when dusk begins, and the night lasts until the next season's dawn.
Summer
Day: 5 minutes 20 seconds
Dusk: 1 minute
Night: 1 minute 40 seconds
Autumn
Day: 5 minutes
Dusk: 1 minute
Night: 2 minutes
Winter
Day: 4 minutes 40 seconds
Dusk: 1 minute
Night: 2 minutes 20 seconds
Remember: summer gives you more light for exploration. Winter has shorter days and longer nights, so return to camp earlier.
Defend the camp
Build continuous palisades and close the gate. Normal wolves cannot break them. On full-moon nights, the Werewolf can damage defenses, so check every wall and keep your fire fueled.
